AlloMap Testing Genes and Pathways
Multiple Genes and Immune Pathways Correlated with Acute Cellular Rejection in AlloMap Testing
AlloMap testing monitors genes from several cellular sources and reflects multiple pathways associated with acute cellular rejection.

AlloMap testing measures the differential expression of 11 genes associated with immune system pathways, each of which exhibits the following characteristics:
In large-scale expression studies, the differential expression of the gene strongly correlated with the presence or absence of acute cellular rejection in microarray gene expression studies.
The quantity of the transcription product (mRNA) is sufficient for measurement by qRT-PCR.
Gene expression level is stable from blood collection to sample preparation.
The gene belongs to a pathway that contributed independently to AlloMap testing performance.

Many of these genes have been linked to the physiology of rejection in the literature.
